My client, an international Facilities & Property Management Group, has a new role coming up for a Director of Facilities. (hard services)
This role will hold responsibility for leading and supporting the existing teams on a portfolio of key client accounts across Ireland. We are seeking a leader with strong technical acumen who can optimise building systems performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable facilities. The ideal candidate combines engineering expertise with strong leadership, vendor management, and budgetary skills.
Experience and Personal Specification
º Over 10+ years of extensive experience in technical and facilities management with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role is desired.
º A third level degree in engineering or similar technical qualification is essential.
º At least 5 years of commercial experience managing and understanding budgets.
º Outstanding communication and presentation aptitude, capable of influencing and fostering consensus among diverse teams and stakeholders.
º Excellent problem-solving skills and a comprehensive understanding of various technologies.
º Exceptional talent development and leadership capabilities, with the capacity to oversee dispersed or virtual teams.
º Robust technical acumen, enabling close collaboration with top-tier engineering partners to develop strategies, address intricate system interdependencies, and construct robust and scalable solutions for both internal and customer-facing applications.
º Proven experience thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments, showcasing adaptability to rapid change.
º Highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
