Our client, a global engineering and manufacturing organisation operating in the data centre and critical infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Document Control Supervisor to lead and enhance document and information management across multiple projects. This is a key leadership role, responsible for setting standards, managing systems, and mentoring a document control team to ensure best-in-class delivery from project initiation through to handover.

The Role

Reporting into senior project and operations stakeholders, the Document Control Supervisor will drive consistency, compliance and continuous improvement across all document control activities, working closely with internal teams, contractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement consistent document control standards, workflows and compliance across projects
  • Manage and optimise digital document control platforms (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint and client CDEs)
  • Ensure robust version control, document traceability and structured records management
  • Oversee timely, accurate documentation from project start through to final handover
  • Line manage, mentor and support a team of Document Controllers, including training and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective information exchange
  • Continuously improve document control processes in line with industry best practice and quality standards
  • Support quality and regulatory compliance requirements, including ISO-aligned processes

Requirements

Essential:

  • Ability to work onsite in Dublin 12, five days per week
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar document control or information management role
  • Background in construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data centre or engineering environments
  • Proven experience managing teams and coordinating document control across multiple projects
  • Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
  • High level of IT proficiency and experience working across multiple document management systems
  • Proactive, flexible and collaborative working style

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • 5+ years’ experience in planning, scheduling or project coordination environments
